This multi-centre observational study will look at patient perspectives of whom they would prefer to consent on behalf of them if they do not have an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPOA). 

Data has been collected and we are now in the analysis stage.

This sustainability study will look at plastic use in TIVA vs volatile anaesthetics. 

A pilot trial in Middlemore of 200 patients has proven feasibility and potential for interesting results. Now we are looking to extend this study to other hospitals. 

Data collection would involve tallying total plastic use in theatre for each case. 

We are looking for eager trainees to lead the multi-centre audit once ethics is approved.
